"You can't teach creativity, creativity teaches you" - Johnny Rodriguez

Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, I grew up glued to television shows and films. So it became natural for me to decide when I was to attend College I would be pursuing a degree in the Arts. I graduated from Brooklyn College in 2020 with a Bachelors's Degree in Film Production.

My biggest inspiration in the film industry is famous movie director Robert Rodriguez. I was already a big fan of Roberts film catalog but once I read Roberts's Autobiographical book " Rebel without a crew". I felt inspired that a man with little background in film school made a name for himself just by putting himself out there and learning the trait the more he filmed. I was especially impressed that during Roberts's early stage of filming, he did most of his film work by himself which drove me to make my own projects with or without the help of a crew.

Growing up in the Bronx, it was only inevitable for me to be a fan of what the Bronx originated, hip hop music. Therefore in addition to film, I fell in love with Hip Hop music videos. When I got into freelance music work I applied the same hustle and grind I had for my film projects to my music video endeavors. One thing I find interesting about working on a music video is how I can push my creative thinking trying to execute an idea or try out a visual effect in post-production that I normally would try on a narrative film project. For me, working with the artist of the song is crucial because I want to hear their ideas for the visuals of the song as well and help bring their vision to life.

I have also done non-profit work primarily for my local church, Church of the living hope. In the early stages of my volunteer work, I took on the challenge of producing content for the church to obtain experience. However which each project I felt happy to help bring awareness to their food drives, church services, and community outreach.

Recently I acquired my Part 107 remote pilot license. I fly a DJI Mavic Pro 2 and a Mavic Mini. Currently looking to develop my drone pilot reel.
